We donated our time to Somerset Loves Europe and designed a website for them free of charge. They wanted a place to share their upcoming and past events, take donations, run a blog and of course spread the love for Europe, pre-Brexit.
Somer Loves Europe had a current website that they designed themselves, which of course didn’t look nor function with Mojo. Their hosting provider didn’t supply an SSL certificate so they could not take donations and without coding knowledge, they could not integrate with their Facebook Group. This meant that they had to update events by hand on the site as well as on their FB group – which led to the site becoming outdated and out of sync.
Mojo loves automation and simplicity, so the first thing we did, other than giving it an aesthetical makeover, was to integrate it with their Facebook Group. Now when they add an event on their group, it automagically appears on the site. Bliss!
Every time they wanted to post about a past event; one of their team would create a page, add a photo gallery and some written content using their own techniques, which led to plenty of inconsistencies in the design. It was an area that we could save them hours of work on in the future by creating them a custom templating system that only requires them to fill in a form and the website will upload the new post with a consistent design and layout.
At Cyprus Web, we give everyone a free SSL certificate so of course they now have a donation function with a button slickly embedded into the menu bar.
